The Great Return
The Great Return is for people between worlds: diaspora, builders, operators, seekers, and anyone trying to find their way back to agency, place, and the work they were meant to build.
It started as a publication about the diaspora returning to the continent. That is still part of the story. But the return is bigger than geography now.
It is returning to yourself.
To the ideas you buried.
To the questions you keep avoiding.
To the work that still feels alive, even if you do not fully know what it is yet.
What you’ll get
I write essays, field notes, and interviews on identity, diaspora, Africa, travel, technology, AI, and building a more intentional life.
I also host the Return Room, a more tactical section where messy ideas, old archives, domain insight, and half-built projects get turned into clear next moves through live breakdowns, guides, demos, and practical build sessions.
Some pieces will be reflective. Some will be tactical. The thread is the same:
How do we stop drifting and start building with intention?
Who this is for
Subscribe if you are:
between cultures, careers, geographies, or versions of yourself
part of the diaspora thinking seriously about return, contribution, or building back home
sitting on an idea, archive, skill, or domain insight you have not brought to life yet
interested in AI, technology, and the new builder playbook
tired of generic advice and want honest notes from someone still building in public
I am not writing from the mountaintop. I am writing from the middle of the work.
If that resonates, welcome to The Great Return.
